Wachovia Profits Up, Helped By Golden West Acquisition 



Wachovia Corp., the fourth-biggest U.S. bank, said Q4 profits were up to $1.20/share from $1.09 in Q4 2005, bringing its yearly profit to $7.8 billion, up 17%, and slightly beating analyst estimates of $1.18.
